These fans require a Corsair controller. They can be controlled by the Corsair Lighting Node Core,  Lighting Node PRO or Commander Pro (not included). The SP140 RGB Elite will NOT work with the 3 button hardware based controller that comes preinstalled in some Corsair cases. It is also NOT compatible with the SP140 RGB non Elite or Pro model's as that earlier model has less LED's per fan. Different fan models can NOT be mixed on the same hub or lighting channel. I recommend ALL buyers to make sure they check to make sure the fan is compatible with their system and will meet their expectations before purchasing.
