Vintage 1980s? Levis 501 Button Fly Indigo Blue Denim Jeans Selvedge 53x30

I believe this pair of Levis Jeans is vintage 1980s, although it could be earlier. The back pockets are single stitched and the inside seam is Selvedge. There is no tan "leather" tag on the waistband, nor is there a red tab on the pocket. These have been removed. The inside "care" tag tells us it is a size 58 x 34. However, my measurements show it is closer to a 53" waist and 30" inseam (Perhaps from shrinkage). Please see photos for the interior tag. The fly has 6 silver colored metal buttons and the number "524" is on the back of the top button. The color is a medium to dark indigo blue and condition is very good!
