What a "hoot".... Vintage Caldwell Rum Mug with a Hot Toddy Recipe on one side, and a sailor looking thru a telescope as a handle...... To crown it off......if you blow thru the telescope, there is a whistle that calls the bartender over for a refill!!!! No maker name.
A bit of history about Caldwell Newburyport Rum, produced in Newburyport Massachusetts. It all started around 1790 (Puritans produced rum for medical purposes (sure) and to offer to guests) and there were around 50 rum distilleries in Mass at that time.....because importing molasses from the West Indies was so cheap. The Brits eventually cut off the cheap molasses, prohibition came and went and distilleries went out of business right and left. Caldwell survived until 1961 when it went under as the last Mass. rum distiller.......But there is a comeback story......Since 2008, 5 new rum distillers have opened......
But I'll bet none of them offer a mug like this one!!!!

Condition: Very good......one chip on the hat brim, as shown. Note that this mug does have alot of manufacturing paint drips....
